Built on sound.
Expanding into everything else.

From sync placements on Showtime, ESPN, and NFL campaigns to the Heaven's Gate Collection and the Relapse universe, WHOT operates at the intersection of culture and craft. Every release, every drop, every chapter is part of something larger being built in real time.
For listeners and supporters, WHOT is a home for sound, story, and independent vision — a world that keeps expanding with every release.
Let's build something.
We Had Our Time (WHOT) is an independent creative studio founded in 2019 by Drew, known professionally as DrewsThatDude. The studio produces original music, sync-licensable compositions, narrative-driven merchandise, and visual art — all connected through a multimedia storytelling universe called Relapse.
Based in New York City, WHOT operates as a self-funded, founder-led studio that controls its own masters, publishing, and creative direction.
Drew is a Grammy-nominated, 7× Platinum certified music producer and graduate of Berklee College of Music. His production credits include Mac Miller (Swimming — Grammy-nominated), Lil Wayne (Tha Carter IV — Grammy-nominated), EARTHGANG, Jeezy, T-Pain, and dozens of independent releases. His catalog spans R&B, hip-hop, ambient, electronic, and cinematic instrumental music, with over 20 million streams across platforms.
Every WHOT release exists within Relapse: The Ghosts We Can't Leave Behind — an ongoing narrative told through albums, Substack chapters, visual art by Bryson Boutte, and collectible merchandise positioned as artifacts from the story. The universe includes named locations (Steadfast City, West Rose, Segura), character arcs, and interconnected storylines that expand with each new project.
Every sound, story, and object is part of the same world.
